For the 128 students at Tamaransy Elementary School, this 2021/2022 school year will not be like the previous ones. Indeed, this primary school is the 5th school to have benefited from the major education plan deployed in the Boké region by UMS through the Foundation.

As such, three classrooms have been renovated to allow students to study in conditions favorable to their academic success and personal development, not to mention improving the working environment for teaching staff.

The end of work ceremony took place this Saturday, November 20 and brought together the entire teaching staff of the school as well as all the students, local authorities and some representatives of the Wazni Foundation and UMS.

In addition, the 5 directors of primary schools already renovated by the UMS teams were also present to receive a donation of school books for the students. The plan thus aims to integrate all the elements that are success factors for the academic success and education of young people. “Our gratitude to the foundation Wazni, we promise to maintain this establishment.

This school was in a very advanced state of degradation thanks to the Wazni Foundation, ”declared Kanfory Bangoura, principal of Tamancy primary school.

At the same time, the Wazni Foundation is continuing the maintenance phase of the renovated infrastructure, putting in place an educational program and has already selected the next school to benefit from a complete renovation: the primary school of Bonia. Work will begin in a few days to achieve its goal of completing the renovation of 11 primary schools in the urban municipality of Boké by the end of 2022 to the delight of the 6,975 schoolchildren concerned.
