Madina Kebeya Elementary School, the 6th school to benefit from the major renovation plan of UMS and the Wazni Foundation.
The major plan to renovate primary schools launched by the Wazni Foundation last December continues its actions in favour of education in the urban commune of Boké.
Madina Kebeya Primary School is already the 6th school to benefit from this major education plan after the schools of Koffia, General Lansana Conte, Baralande, Dibia Laic and Tamaransy, all renovated thanks to the work of UMS teams and funding from the Wazni Foundation.
Led by Mr. Bangoura Ousmane, the school, which has 230 students and 3 teachers, will benefit from new classrooms and two completely refurbished latrines.
Beyond the actions already carried out, the Foundation also wishes to commit itself in the broad sense to education.
It is in this context that it has launched a partnership with a French association “France Collect” for the sending of small materials and school books for schoolchildren in each school.
The project teams also asked the Boké DPE to set up a training schedule for the teachers of each school on a voluntary basis and reiterated their wish to carry out its actions hand in hand with the local authorities, parents of pupils, pupils, teachers and principals.
Finally, proof that the Foundation’s actions have already borne fruit, the establishments concerned by the renovation plan have seen the number of their registrants increase considerably at the start of the 2021/2022 school year.
