SMB: Guinea in the Top 3 Bauxite Exporting Countries

Estimates of global bauxite production from the U.S Geological Survey have just come out and show that Guinea is now the world’s 3rd largest producer! An increase that owes a lot to the Société Minière de Boké (SMB)!

As a reminder, UMS is a partner of the SMB in the SMB Winning Consortium for the extraction and transport of Bauxite. In 2017, the Consortium exported nearly 30,000,000 tons, and hopes to export 35,000,000 in 2018.
